Hi, I'm Carmen Perez-Jordan.
Mother. Bridge Builder. Organizer. Trainer. Cultural Strategist.
Rooted in California. Shaped by New York. Leading with Heart. Walking in Legacy. Powered by my Ancestors.
I believe in the promise of people to shape the world around them, with compassion, courage, and care. As President & CEO of The Gathering for Justice, an organization founded by the late, great Harry Belafonte and my mentor, I’ve spent the past two decades building movements that unite people across generations, backgrounds, and beliefs, especially when it matters most.
I also served as one of the national co-chairs of the 2017 Women’s March on Washington, helping to mobilize millions across the globe in defense of gender equality, civil rights, and the hard-won rights our foremothers fought to secure.
But who I am goes beyond what I do.
I’m a mother raising two boys with love and intention. A devoted wife. A woman shaped by family, faith, and service.
